Field Pipe Welding & Spooling
On-Site Pipe Spooling, Tie-Ins and Repair in Houston
WeldIT sends certified pipe welders, fitters and fully equipped rig trucks to wherever the pipe is: a live refinery unit, a terminal, a water plant, a commercial mechanical room, or another fabricator’s floor. We spool, tie in and repair to ASME B31.1, B31.3 and API 1104 under your site rules, with crews of 2 to 8 from a one-day callout to a multi-week outage. 24-hour emergency line.

Certified Crews That Come to the Work
Some piping can’t be built in a shop and trucked in: tie-ins to existing lines, emergency repairs during a run, field-run spools where the drawings don’t match what’s installed, and jobs where the owner wants fabrication done inside the fence. For those, WeldIT brings the shop to you.
Our rig welders are the same people who fabricate spools in our 40,000 sq ft Houston shop, qualified to ASME Section IX and API 1104 with 6G certs in GTAW, SMAW, GMAW and FCAW. They carry current HASC and TWIC credentials, so they clear refinery, chemical plant and terminal gates without a delay at the guard shack.
What We Do On-Site
Tie-ins and hot taps support. Connecting new spools or units to existing lines during a shutdown or a scheduled window, with the fit-up verified against as-built conditions before the cut.
Emergency pipe repair. Cracked welds, leaking flanges, failed supports, corroded sections. 24-hour dispatch across Greater Houston; we weld the repair, document it and get you back in service.
Field spooling. Cutting, beveling, fit-up and welding of spools on-site when drawings don’t match the field, the lines are too big to ship, or the owner requires fabrication inside the fence.
Turnaround and outage support. Welders and fitters added to your crew for the duration, working your shifts, your permits and your QC plan.
Capacity for other fab shops. When your own floor is over capacity, our crews and rigs work in your bay under your WPS and your tags, white-label if you prefer.
How We Work Under Your Rules
Every site runs differently. We fit yours:
- Your JSA, PPE, hot-work and confined-space permits, and lockout; our safety program underneath
- HASC and TWIC credentials current for refinery, chemical plant, port and terminal access
- Your WPS, PQR and QC hold points; qualified procedures from us if you have none for a material
- Weld logs, welder IDs, heat numbers and MTRs delivered per job for your records and audits
Material from your stores or ours, with heat numbers logged at receipt either way. Third-party NDE (RT, UT, PT, MT) coordinated through our inspection partner when your spec calls for it.
What We Bring
Crews, Rigs and Scope
Pipe welders and fitters qualified to ASME Section IX and API 1104, 6G position, in GTAW, SMAW, GMAW and FCAW. Crews of 2 to 8 sized to the job; crew leads who report to your supervisor.
Carbon steel, stainless, chrome-moly and nickel alloys. Small-bore through large-diameter.
Self-contained welding rigs with machines, cutting and beveling tools, stands, rigging and PPE. We arrive ready to weld; the site supplies nothing but access and a permit.
Setup planned around your layout, airflow and traffic so our work doesn’t slow yours.
Tie-ins, emergency repairs, field spooling, support and structural welding, and turnaround crew augmentation. One-day callout to multi-week outage; no contract.
When the job is better built in a shop and shipped, we say so and quote both.

Other Fab Shops
Our crews and rigs in your bay when your backlog spikes. Your WPS, your tags, your paperwork; white-label if you prefer.
